The post-Halloween let-down is settling, in, and there’s a lot of cleaning up to do while I think about Capel Rugs instead of cleaning up my barfing pumpkin on the front porch and big stacks of dirty dishes.

Our pumpkin created quite an impression. It has a wide, gaping mouth, out of which spewed a thick, gooey pool of pumpkin innards, corn niblets, baby peas, raw egg, and watered-down refried beans. Disgustingly adorable!

The meal was a smash hit, too. Our friends made moldy bread with green food coloring. I made rats on sticks, or spicy chicken tenderloins on bbq skewers with black licorice tails. The spaghetti was served with a tomato and roasted red pepper sauce, which I like to call a chunky blood sauce of human body parts. We watched a terrible b-move called “Killer Clowns From Outer Space”, and laughed our faces off through the whole thing. It was a Halloween to rememeber. Luckily, I didn’t forget to write about Capel Rugs!   

Halloween couldn’t be more fun than having friends over for dinner, watching a stupid b-movie, and hanging out with our feet on cosy area rugs as we all stuff ourselves silly with fizz candy. That’s what we did tonight. We ate a delicious spread of “moldy bread”, rats on sticks, spaghetti with chunky fire-roatsted body parts blood sauce. Our friends dressed up as a couple from the 80s. We dressed up as Mr. All-American Mullet, and Mrs. Anti-War Protester/Folk Singer.

After dinner, we settled in for a fine film – Killer Clowns From Outer Space. It was so ridiculous. Perfect! Throughout the evening, trick-or-treaters came by for candy. I invited some of them in to stand at the front door on our area rugs and show us their adorable costumes.
