In between the laughs, O’Dell found Carey’s life has a dark side. “My life is pretty cool,” Carey smiled. “I have a really good life.” Carey is on top with his new “Price is Right” gig and primetime show “Power of 10.” However, O’Dell found out life wasn’t always easy for Carey. “I was depressed for a long time,” Carey revealed. In fact, there was a time long ago when Carey tried to take his own life by overdosing with pills. ”It seems like so many funny people have a side that they’ve had to go through to get there,” O’Dell noted. I was reading the paper about Owen Wilson. I was thinking, I hope he’s learning what he is supposed to be learning from this whole experience and not wasting the opportunity to learn,” Carey said.
