Turning on the pressure Friday, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger urged writers to get off their discount rugs and resume their writing. These comfortable discount rugs make it difficult for anyone to get back to work. Dynamic’s Splendor Collection really lives up to its name. Production has shut down on over a dozen prime-time shows.  Insiders say it could take weeks or even months before writers and producers have enough incentive to get back to work. Oh, the power of new discount rugs! “I think you need to see more time, more posturing and possibly more pain inflicted,” said Carole Handler, an entertainment lawyer who specializes in new technology issues. Perhaps Attorney Carole needs discount rugs of her own.
