Simpson is accused of breaking into a hotel room to take back sports memorabilia he says belonged to him. The date for trial has yet to be set.

The American people’s fascination with OJ Simpson confuses many Canadians, like me. I don’t even know why he’s a celebrity to begin with. The only thing I actually know about him is that he was found not guilty in the murder of his wife. I think he might have been a famous sports figure prior to that big case. Maybe I’m just not that into sports, because I tend to tune out to news stories involving sports and athletes in general. But that’s not the piont of this blog entry.

The point is, there are many more interesting things to think about than OJ Simpson. Like area rugs, for one.
