The daytime talk show, “The View” is winning at the ratings game again with the addition of Whoopi Goldberg as moderator, and she’s got a lot to say about everything - except area rugs.

You’d think Whoopi would have something better to talk about than Britney Spears, fantasy threesomes with government representatives, and who knows what else. Apparently, though, American audiences like her style, because people are tuning in to the show in higher numbers than when Rosie O’Donnell moderated. 

It’s sad what TV has come to. Is it a reflection of today’s culture, does it ‘help’ dictate the direction tomorrow’s culture will take, or is it simply harmless, silly make believe? I wish the latter, but fear a combination of the former.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but if people like Whoopi Goldberg could just spend a little time talking about the amazing area rugs at www.abingdonrugoutlet.com, perhaps the world could become a better place.
