OptiMat can be used between area rugs and hard floors as well as between wall to wall carpet and area rugs. With either application, OptiMat offers a super soft cushion feel and unsurpassed slip resistance. Made of 22 ounce felt and 16 ounce non washable rubber per square yard with a heat fused face. On hard floors, place rubber side down and on wall to wall, place rubber side up. The surface is specially treated to provide extra grip and prevent fuzzing and fraying. Pads should be at least 1 inch smaller than the area rug on all sides. Trim excess padding with heavy duty scissors if necessary.
Our Econo Light pad is one of the finest nonskid rug underlays on the market today, it is the ONE rug pad that does it all: it prevents a rug from wrinkling, buckling, crawling or moving on any type of flooring (hard floor as well as wall-to-wall carpet). When used on a smooth floor, the dark side of the underlay faces down on the floor. When used on wall-to-wall carpeting, the white side faces down on the carpet. The superior qualities are a result of engineering directed at obtaining the best nonskid performance for a rug pad. The product is made of two different polyester fibers needle-punched together and coated, on both sides, with a specially formulated water-based pressure sensitive dry adhesive which will outperform pads coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin. Its two components, containing 12 ounces of fiber per square yard, gives to the pad enough body and density to resist the horizontal movement that creates the buckling effect of the underlay under the rug. This is why it has almost one pound of fiber per yard, compared to most competing products which commonly have only 3 to 4 ounces of fiber. The light cushioning effect allows the pad and the rug to breathe together with no risk of oxidation or discoloration to any flooring surface. This pad will not give a permanent bond to the floor. If, for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, return it within 10 days and we will refund the full purchase price. Please Note: It can take up to 72 business hours for a credit to appear or 7-14 days to receive a refund check.
Clearance Items, personalized and custom-made items are, regretfully, non-returnable, unless there is damage or a defect in which case we will happily provide a replacement of the item you ordered.
Shipping costs on all returns going back to the Abingdon Rug warehouse are the responsibility of the customer. Refused packages or packages not returned to the address below may result in a 20% service fee. We recommend that packages be sent back to us with any carrier that can track and insure it's packages. Make sure to call or email us with the tracking number so that we can track the package for you and issue credit immediately upon arrival. Please be sure to completely wrap your returns in the original packaging or equivalent and please DO NOT apply tape to the actual rug(s) or fold the rug(s). Items that have been soiled or damaged may be refused or cause you to incur additional fees. We will not accept rugs that have been visibly damaged or soiled. We do not accept returns of oversized rugs that are 9 x 12 or larger. No refunds will be given after ten days. *
